During the AT&T Pro-Am Charity Challenge, Newton, a former standout high school golfer, stuck it to five feet on the famed par 3. Six years ago, Golf Digest’s own Ron Kaspriske sat down for a Q&A with actress Kathryn Newton. At the time, Newton was 18 and still questioning whether she wanted to lean all the way into acting, or play college golf. Since then she’s starred in the HBO hit series “Big Little Lies,” as well as an original Netflix series called “The Society” and a number of films. In other words, she made the right career choice.
