All the ways strength training can support your mental wellbeing

If there’s one thing we’ve grown increasingly aware of in the past few years it’s our mental health.  Never has protecting and boosting our wellbeing been so important, and one way of doing that is strength training.

The link between exercise and mental health has long been established. “Healthy body, healthy mind” is an old adage that still rings true today. For those who don’t enjoy cardio, the good news is that you don’t have to run a 10k to experience a euphoric “runner’s high”– you can get the same endorphin rush from strength training. While it’s important to note that exercise shouldn’t replace professional help for your mental wellbeing, those living with poor mental health and people without diagnosed conditions can both notice improvements in their mood when training.
